Our student experience among the best in the nation
Murdoch University has cemented its reputation for a supportive student experience, ranking joint 9th for overall undergraduate student experience across the nation in 2018.
The University also performed exceptionally well for student support, ranking 6th for both undergraduate and postgraduate student support in the 2018 Student Experience Survey and reflects a continuing upward trend.
Murdoch University Vice Chancellor Eeva Leinonen welcomed the results.
“We are proud of Murdoch’s efforts to make university education a possibility for all,” Professor Leinonen said.
“These results reflect Murdoch’s commitment to providing students with the encouragement and learning resources they need to succeed.
“We provide our students with an outstanding education experience that helps to equip them with valuable skills for their future careers.”
Support beyond the classroom
Murdoch’s support for students extends beyond the classroom and into all facets of the university experience.
From specialised study groups and the collaborative UniEdge program that brings together all support services for first year students, through to programs and initiatives to help students with disabilities and medical conditions, including mental health, Murdoch provides a safe and supportive environment for students from all walks of life.
Murdoch University experienced increases in all categories for undergraduate and postgraduate education, and was ranked 11th in the nation for overall Undergraduate Experience.
The University was also ranked above the national average for Teaching Quality and Learning Resources.
The 2018 Student Experience Survey is an annual report of Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) to monitor student opinions of their educational experience at university.
