Murdoch Merch 2022 – Competition

1. The Murdoch Merch 2022 – Competition (“Competition”) is a competition run by Murdoch University of 90 South Street, Murdoch, Western Australia, 6150.
2. The Competition commences at 6.00am Australian Western Standard Time (AWST) on Saturday 3 December 2022 and closes at 4.30pm (AWST) on Friday 9 December 2022.
3. By entering the Competition, entrants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
   
   The Competition
4. To enter the Competition, participants are required to ‘like’ and ‘comment’ why they would like to win the competition, to the Instagram and Facebook posts and will be eligible to enter the competition upon completion.
5. All registrations must be received no later than 4.30pm on Friday 9 December 2022 AWST.
6. Late registrations will not be accepted as entries and Murdoch University is not liable for late, lost or misdirected entries.
7. Entrants must reside in the State of Western Australia.
8. Entrants must be a Murdoch University student or alumni with a valid student number.
9. Entrants may only enter the Competition once.
10. Murdoch University’s employees and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter the Competition.
11. Instructions on how to enter the Competition and other details contained within promotional advertisements for this Competition form part of the conditions of entry.
12. Entry to the Competition is free.
13. By entering the Competition, the entrant agrees that they are over the age of 18 years, or if under the age of 18 years, have their parent’s or legal guardian’s consent to enter the Competition.
    
    Prize
14. Participants enter the draw to win one (1) merch pack including Murdoch University merchandise that comprises of one (1) hoodie, one (1) beanie, one (1) t-shirt, one (1) pair of sunglasses, two (2) water bottles, one (1) hat, one (1) notebook, one (1) mug, and one (1) tote bag.
15. The combined total value of the one (1) prize is estimated at approximately AUD$150 each.
16. Subject to clause 17 there will be one (1) draw at 10.00pm AWST on Friday 9 December 2022. The winner will be selected randomly from a database containing all eligible entries received.
17. Each prize winner will be contacted within one (1) day of the draw by email or the mobile telephone number supplied by the entrant.   
18. If a prize winner does not respond to claim their prize within 1 day of the draw that winner will no longer be eligible to claim their prize and a new winner will be drawn by random selection within 2 days of the original draw and contacted in accordance with clause 18.
19. If the prize winner is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent or legal guardian.
20. If a winner disputes these Terms and Conditions, that winner will not be entitled to the prize and Murdoch University may at its discretion award the prize to another entrant in accordance with the Terms and Conditions or choose not to award the prize.
21. If the prize becomes unavailable for any reason, Murdoch University may, but is under no obligation to, substitute a prize of like or equal value.
22. Murdoch University takes no responsibility for the loss of the prize or the inability of the prize winner to use the prize for any reason whatsoever including but not limited to incorrect or imprecise delivery details provided by a winner.
23. Murdoch University makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the prize.
    
    Personal Data Use and Collection
24. By entering the Competition entrants warrant their personal details are true and accurate and grant Murdoch University permission to use their personal details for Murdoch University’s direct marketing purposes.
25. The Competition prize winner acknowledges and agree that their acceptance of a prize constitutes their permission for Murdoch University to use their name and suburb of residence for advertising, marketing and promotional purposes without compensation to the prize winner, unless otherwise prohibited by law.
26. All entries to the Competition remain the property of Murdoch University.
27. Murdoch University will not use the entrant’s personal information for any other purpose other than set out in these Terms and Conditions without the entrant’s consent unless required or authorised to do so by law. For details on how Murdoch University safeguards your personal information, and your rights in respect of that information, see Murdoch University’s privacy policy at www.murdoch.edu.au/privacy.
28. Murdoch will maintain records of the Competition for 12 months after the draw.
    
    Miscellaneous
29. Murdoch University’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
30. Murdoch University and its related entities, employees, contractors, servants or agents shall not be liable for and accept no responsibility for any accident, loss, injury or damage to any individual or property arising out of any act or omission, whether negligent or otherwise in conjunction with the Competition or the prize, occurring either during or after the Competition.
31. Murdoch University is not responsible in any manner whatsoever for any problems or any financial costs incurred, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrants or any other persons related to or resulting from participation in this Competition.
32. Participation in the Competition constitutes the entrant’s unconditional agreement to and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.
33. Entrants are responsible for ensuring his or her familiarity with the Terms and Conditions.
34. Winners are responsible for collecting the prize from the Murdoch University campus. Murdoch University will not mail out any parts of the prize to the winner.
35. Murdoch University’s decision not to enforce a specific restriction does not constitute a waiver of that restriction or of the Terms and Conditions generally.
36. The Terms and Conditions of this competition are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
